John Jay Daly Daly Communications

A member of the National Speakers Association since 1978, John Jay Daly was elected three times to 3-year terms on the Board of Directors of NSA. He founded the National Capital Chapter of NSA in 1980 and in the 90s served twice as its president as well as making several presentations to this and many other NSA chapters. In 1998 the NCSA named an annual award for him that recognizes solid contributions to speaking and the Chapter.
He's been selected as an "Accredited Fellow" by PRSA and served as president of its National Capital Chapter. John has also been active in the American Society of Association Executives as well as its DC counterpart and has spoken to many local SAES.
John Jay Daly began his communications career on "The Washington Post" immediately after graduating from Georgetown University (where he edited the college weekly); He later did graduate work in mass communications at both GWU and the American Univ. During the Korean War he was a Navy Photo and Pub Info officer on a carrier and then began 20-year career on PR staff with three national trade associations, each with thousands of members whose varied needs he serviced.
Since 1976 John has operated his own creative communications consultancy that serves an array of businesses and associations wishing to "tell and sell their story." (His "Catalog of 75 Communications Tipsheets" is available free to planners on request.)
